Easy Adorable Handmade Valentines
I love making homemade Valentine’s with my kids for them to give to their grandparents, godparents, aunts, uncles, etc. It is fun, easy and cheap! I think homemade Valentine’s mean so much to loved ones when your children are little. So this year we did “Thumbody loves you” Valentine’s from my kids to their loved ones. So here is how to make this super easy homemade valentines.
What you will need
- Paper (We used plain white printer paper)
- Inkpad (We used Red and purple)
- Tissue paper (we used red, pink, purple)
- Black marker (we used a black sharpie)
- Glue Stick
Step 1:
Use the ink pads to make a thumbprint for each of your kids.
Step 2:
Use the sharpie to write your children’s names below their thumbprint. Write “thumbbody loves you” above the thumbprints. Write “Valentine’s Day 2020” or just “2020” (or whatever year it is) below the thumbprints
Step 3:
Rip up the tissue paper into small pieces (smaller than 2 inches works best)
Step 4:
Create a heart using the glue stick (around the thumbprints and writing)
Step 5:
Stick the pieces of tissue paper to the glue to create a tissue paper heart border around the writing and thumbprints
Step 6:
Give it to somebody you love!
